Bulkhead Seawall and Retaining Wall – Stock Island, Key West

Construction of 1,200 LF of bulkhead seawall and 200 LF of retaining wall. GLF Construction proposed a Value Engineering Contractor Proposal (VECP) to the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority (FKAA) providing the Owner a substantial savings in the cost of the work. Work included the installation of 1,400 LF cantilever wall using AZ 37-700 sheetpiles with a 3 foot by 3 foot concrete cap. Work also included excavation, backfilling, placement of flowable fill concrete, installation of rip rap and demolition of approximately 1,200 LF of existing seawall. Work also included the installation of GeoWeb materials to stabilize the soils behind the wall.
