Construction of New Port at Galeota

The project consists of design and construction of new port facilities at Galeota, in the southern tip of Trinidad, near the village of Guayaguayare.
The existing facilities are obsolete and not capable of supporting the requirements of all the various oil and gas companies operating the offshore platforms. The new facilities will support British Petroleum to expand the level of service to such offshore activities. Additionally, it will provide a permanent facility for the Coast Guard, as well as a fishing port for the local residents.
