Southern Steel – Haiti’s premier steel engineers, is proud to announce their new alliance with GLF Construction Corporation.
GLF is a renowned international construction and engineering company specializing in the fields of heavy engineering, marine works, major bridge structures, general contracting, design-build and historical renovation. Incorporated in 1993 in Florida, GLF Construction Corporation is a subsidiary of “Grandi Lavori Fincosit SpA” established in 1905 in Rome, Italy with recognized experience in more than 20 countries.
GFL’s new endeavour is the reconstruction of the Port-au-Prince Port. Southern Steel is tasked with furnishing this distinguished construction firm with all of the steel piles required in this important project.
Moreover and thanks to Southern Steel’s cutting-edge machinery, all of the steel furnished will already by cut, bent and assembled according to GFL’s architectural plans and specifications while meeting international construction standards and furthermore facilitating the port’s swift construction and ultimate completion.
With many opportunities to improve Haitian construction standards, the GB Group is investing heavily in its people and existing production facilities to maintain its position as market leader as well as engaging in new aggressive endeavors.
